Security & smart systems inAl Quoz & Dubai Investment Park
Warehouses, workshops and industrial units
Where Dubai's stock sits. Industrial units, labour accommodation, workshops and showrooms — and the part of the city where what the system must do is most often decided by an insurer, a landlord or a regulator rather than by taste.

On the ground
What we see in Al Quoz & Dubai Investment Park
Loading bays and yards, not corridors
The risk is goods leaving by the shutter, so cameras cover bays, yards and the gate — with light and lens chosen for vehicles and plates rather than faces at three metres.
Stock rooms and who opens them
Access control on stores and offices, tied to attendance, answers both questions an owner has after a loss: who was in the building, and who opened that door.
Regulated categories
Many premises here fall into a SIRA category with a required specification and a maintenance contract. What applies to a particular unit is confirmed at the survey against the current manual — never guessed.
Worth knowing
Heat, dust and vibration are the enemy of industrial installations. Housings, mounts and cable routes are specified for it, and AMC visits here include cleaning that would be pointless in an office.
