Water is a boundary nobody covers
A villa backing onto a lake has a side with no wall, no gate and usually no camera. It is rarely the way anyone comes in, but it is also the only part of the plot with nothing watching it, and that is worth a deliberate decision rather than an oversight.
Planting that has had twenty years
Mature trees and hedges block what a camera was specified to see, and they grow back. Positions are chosen with that in mind, and checking the view is still the view is part of a maintenance visit here.
Long runs, few conduits
A gate a hundred metres from the villa, a pool house, a staff room at the back — the distances defeat anything wireless, so these jobs are usually cabling first and cameras second.
Worth knowing
Plots here differ enough that a price given over the phone would be a guess. The survey walks the boundary, including the water side, before anything is quoted.
