Terms & Conditions

Last updated 19 September 2026

Plain-language terms for our website and our work. The figures in them — deposits, warranty periods, notice periods — are read from our live settings, so they always match what we actually offer.

01About these terms

These terms are issued by Maple Technologies Security Systems LLC ("MapleTech", "we", "us"), a security systems company registered in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, with its office at 225-059, 2nd Floor, The Iridium Building, Umm Suqeim Street, Al Barsha First, Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

They apply to anyone using this website and to every service we provide: site surveys and consultations, the supply and installation of security, smart home, networking, sound and display systems, repairs, and annual maintenance contracts (AMC).

A written quotation, contract or AMC agreement we sign with you forms part of these terms. Where it says something different, the signed document wins.

If you are a consumer, nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under the UAE Consumer Protection Law or any other law that cannot be excluded by agreement.

We no longer sell products online. Orders placed through our previous online shop remain governed by the terms that applied when they were placed.

02Using this website

The information on this website is general. It describes what we offer and how systems typically work; it is not a quotation, an offer or professional advice for your property. Descriptions, illustrations and the equipment we mention may change without notice.

The assistant on this site is an automated tool. It can be wrong, it cannot book, confirm or price anything, and nothing it says forms part of a contract. Please rely only on what we confirm in writing.

Please don't misuse the site: no attempts to break its security, overload it, scrape it for resale, or submit false or someone else's details. We may block access that breaks these rules.

Links to other websites are for convenience; we are not responsible for their content.

03Site visits and online bookings

A visit booked on this website is a request. It holds your place in the chosen arrival window, and it is confirmed only when a member of our team contacts you. We may need to move a visit — for example for safety, weather or an emergency call-out — and will offer you another time.

Arrival windows are our best estimate. Please make sure someone aged 18 or over is present for visits to a home, and that we have safe access to the areas we need to see.

Consultation and survey visits described as free are free, with no obligation. Maintenance and repair visits for systems not covered by an AMC are chargeable; we tell you the charge before the visit is confirmed.

To change or cancel a visit, please give us at least 24 hours' notice. For a chargeable visit, late cancellation, or our team being unable to get access at the agreed time, may be charged at the call-out rate we confirmed when booking.

04Quotations

Our quotations are given in writing after a survey and stay open for 30 days unless they say otherwise. Prices are in AED and exclude VAT, which is added at the rate in force when we invoice.

A quotation is based on what we could see and what you told us. If the work turns out to differ — hidden obstructions, cable routes that are not available, changes you ask for, or conditions we could not reasonably have seen — we will explain and quote the difference, and do extra work only once you approve it.

Unless a quotation says so, it does not include civil or structural works (such as trenching or cutting structural elements), redecoration after installation, internet or telecom subscriptions, cloud or app subscriptions, or permits and no-objection certificates from landlords, building management, developers or authorities.

05Payment

Unless your quotation sets different stages, we ask for an advance payment of 50% when you accept the quotation, and the balance within 7 days of handover. AMC fees are payable in advance for the period they cover.

Equipment we supply remains our property until it has been paid for in full. Until then, you agree to keep it safe and not to remove, sell or charge it.

If an invoice is not paid on time, we may pause further work or maintenance under the same contract after telling you, and we may recover our reasonable costs of collecting the debt as the law allows.

06Your responsibilities

To give us accurate information about the property and what you need, and to tell us about anything that affects safe working — such as hidden cables or pipes, asbestos or structural concerns.

To give us access, power and, where the system needs one, a working internet connection at the agreed times.

To obtain any permission the work needs from the property owner, landlord, building management, owners' association, developer or authority, unless we have agreed in writing to do it for you.

To use the system lawfully. You decide where cameras point and how recordings are used, and you are responsible for that use — including respecting other people's privacy, not recording areas where people reasonably expect privacy, displaying signs where appropriate, and handling recordings as UAE data protection and cybercrime laws require. We will advise you, and we will not install a camera where we believe its position would be unlawful, but the system and its recordings are yours.

If your premises is an establishment regulated by SIRA, the obligations the regulations place on the establishment — such as keeping an annual maintenance contract, keeping the maintenance log and reporting incidents — remain yours, whoever carries out the work.

To keep passwords and user accounts secure, and not to let anyone other than us or another qualified installer alter the system while it is under our warranty or AMC.

07Installation and handover

We install the system described in the accepted quotation, using equipment of the stated make and model — or, if a model becomes unavailable, an equivalent or better one, which we will tell you about before substituting.

At handover we test the system with you, show you how to use it, and give you the administrator passwords and the information needed to manage it. Any snagging item you report at handover is corrected as part of the job.

Risk in the equipment passes to you when it is delivered to your premises.

08SIRA approvals

For premises regulated by SIRA, we design and install to the requirements of the establishment's category and prepare the documentation the regulations require.

Approvals and inspections are decisions for SIRA, so we cannot guarantee their timing or outcome. If a system we designed and installed does not meet the requirements that applied when we did the work, we will correct our work at no charge. Changes needed because the requirements or the use of the premises have changed, or because of work by others, are quoted separately.

09Warranty

We guarantee our workmanship for 12 months from handover: if a fault is caused by the way we installed the system, we will put it right at no charge.

Equipment carries the manufacturer's warranty for the period and on the terms the manufacturer sets. We pass that warranty on to you and handle claims on your behalf; where the manufacturer repairs or replaces a device, their decision on the claim applies.

The warranties do not cover faults caused by misuse, accident, power surges, lightning, flooding or water beyond a device's rating, pests, fire, alterations or repairs by anyone else, unapproved software or settings, failures of internet, mobile or third-party cloud services, consumables such as batteries, or normal wear. Our remedy under the warranties is to repair or replace the affected work or equipment.

These warranties are in addition to any rights you have under the law.

10Annual maintenance contracts (AMC)

An AMC covers the systems and devices listed in it, for its stated term — normally 12 months. It is renewed by agreement; either of us can decide not to renew by giving 30 days' written notice before the renewal date. Either of us may also end it early if the other seriously breaches it and does not put that right within a reasonable time of being asked.

It includes the preventive visits and support set out in your plan. Minor adjustments and repairs made during a visit are included; spare parts, replacement devices, upgrades and work caused by damage or misuse are quoted separately and carried out once you approve them. Response times for faults are those written into your contract.

If we take over a system another company installed, the AMC starts with a survey and a written condition report. We are not responsible for defects, design problems or non-compliance that existed before we started, unless we agree in writing to remedy them.

Please give us access for scheduled visits. A visit that cannot go ahead because access was not given may be rescheduled once; further missed visits may be treated as completed.

11What a security system can and cannot do

Security systems deter, detect and record. No system can guarantee that a crime, loss, damage or injury will not happen, and we do not promise that it will prevent one. We are not an insurer, and — unless we agree otherwise in writing — we do not monitor your system or respond to alarms.

Remote viewing, notifications and cloud features depend on electricity, your network, internet and mobile services, and the manufacturers' apps and servers, none of which we control. Please keep appropriate insurance for your property and its contents.

12Recordings and data we may see

While installing, maintaining or repairing a system we may see live images or recordings. We access them only as far as the work requires or you instruct us, we do not copy or keep them unless you ask us to — for example to export footage for the police — and our staff are required to keep them confidential.

Remote access for support is set up only with your permission and is removed when you ask or when the contract ends. How we handle personal data is explained in our privacy policy.

13Our liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under UAE law, including liability for fraud, for deliberate wrongdoing or for death or personal injury caused by our negligence.

Subject to that, our total liability arising from any contract is limited to the price you paid for the work or equipment the claim relates to — or, for an AMC, the fees you paid in the twelve months before the claim arose.

We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, loss of profit, revenue, business or data, or for losses of the kind described under what a security system can and cannot do, except where the law does not allow that exclusion.

14Events outside our control

We are not responsible for delay or failure caused by events beyond our reasonable control — such as extreme weather, epidemics, supply shortages, government action, power or network failures, or war. We will tell you as soon as we can and agree a new timetable with you.

15Designs and intellectual property

Our drawings, designs and system documentation remain our property until the work is paid for in full; once it is, you may use them for the property they were made for. Software supplied with equipment is licensed to you by its maker on the maker's terms.

The MapleTech name, logo and this website's content belong to us. Other brand names on this site are the trademarks of their owners and are mentioned only to describe equipment we supply and install; no endorsement or partnership is implied unless we say so.

16Privacy and records

How we use personal data is set out in our privacy policy. In short: quote requests, bookings and messages sent through this website are kept for 3 years; contracts, quotations and invoices are kept for as long as UAE law requires.

You agree that quotations, invoices, notices and other documents may be sent and signed electronically, and that they satisfy any requirement for writing as UAE law allows.

17Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The version on this page applies from its date; the terms that applied when you accepted a quotation or signed an AMC continue to govern that contract until it is renewed.

18Governing law and disputes

These terms and every contract under them are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates as applied in the Emirate of Dubai.

If something goes wrong, please tell us first at contact@mapletech.ae or +971 54 375 5150 — most problems are fixed quickly. If a dispute cannot be settled between us within 30 days, the courts of Dubai have exclusive jurisdiction. Consumers keep the right to contact the relevant consumer protection authority.
