Security & smart systems inDubai Marina & JBR
High-rise apartments, holiday lets and retail podiums
Towers, short-let apartments and a podium of shops and restaurants — an area where almost every job needs the building's permission before a single cable is pulled, and where most of the work is inside a single apartment rather than across a plot.

What we see in Dubai Marina & JBR
The building decides what is possible
Towers control their risers, their façades and what may be drilled. Work is planned around the building management's rules and their approval, which is why a survey here starts with the rulebook rather than the camera positions.
Short lets need keys without keys
Holiday-home operators change guests weekly. Smart locks with codes that expire, a video doorbell and remote access beat handing over keys — and they leave a record of who came in and when.
Wi-Fi through concrete
Tower walls and foil-backed insulation kill signal. Wired cameras and access points on structured cabling are far more reliable here than anything sold as wireless.
Worth knowing
Parking and access to a tower have to be arranged with building management before a visit, so bookings here are confirmed by phone with the time you can get the team in.
