Privacy Policy
What personal data we collect, why, who sees it, how long we keep it, and the rights you have under UAE data protection law.
01Who we are
Maple Technologies Security Systems LLC ("MapleTech", "we") decides how the personal data described here is used. You can reach us at contact@mapletech.ae, on +971 54 375 5150, or at 225-059, 2nd Floor, The Iridium Building, Umm Suqeim Street, Al Barsha First, Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
02What this policy covers
Personal data we collect through this website — quote requests, visit bookings, messages, the mailing list, the on-site assistant and basic analytics — and personal data we come across while working at your premises.
It does not cover the recordings your own security system makes. Those belong to the owner of the system, who decides how they are used and is responsible for using them lawfully. Our part in them is described below, under working at your property.
03What we collect
When you ask for a quote, book a visit or write to us: your name, email address and phone number, and whatever else you choose to give — whether the work is for a home or a business, the type of property, its area and address, your company name, the services you are interested in, and your message.
When you join the mailing list: your email address.
When you use the assistant: the questions you type and its replies. The conversation lives in your browser tab and is sent to us only to produce each reply.
When you browse: basic technical data such as your IP address, used briefly to keep the site running and to stop abuse. If you allow analytics, also which pages were viewed during your visit and what was asked of the assistant — linked to a random id that is forgotten when the tab closes, never to you by name.
04Why we use it
To reply to you, arrange and carry out a survey, prepare a quotation and — if you go ahead — install, maintain and support your system. This is necessary to take the steps you ask for before a contract and to perform the contract.
To meet our legal obligations, such as keeping business and tax records and responding to lawful requests from the authorities.
To keep this website secure and prevent misuse.
With your consent only: to send you our guides and news by email (every email says how to stop them), and to count page views and assistant questions in aggregate so we know what to improve. You can withdraw consent at any time.
05The assistant
Your questions are sent to the AI provider that powers the assistant, solely to produce a reply. Please don't type health details, payment details, passwords or identity documents into it.
If you allowed analytics, the questions themselves (not who asked them) may be kept so we can improve its answers.
06When we work at your property
Installing, maintaining or repairing a system can mean seeing live images or recordings, and handling the passwords and user accounts of the system. We do so only as the work requires or as you instruct, we don't copy or keep recordings unless you ask us to, and our staff are bound to keep what they see confidential.
We keep the records a job needs — the address, the equipment installed, maintenance logs and service reports — and, for SIRA-regulated premises, the documentation the regulations require. Remote access for support is set up only with your permission and removed when you ask or the contract ends.
07Who we share it with
Service providers who help us run the website and the business — hosting and database, email, WhatsApp messaging (Meta) if you choose to hear from us that way, and the AI provider behind the assistant — each only with what they need to do their job, and under obligations to protect it.
Equipment manufacturers or their distributors, when we make a warranty claim on your behalf — limited to the details the claim needs.
SIRA or other authorities, where the law requires it, and the police when you ask us to help provide footage.
We never sell your data, never share it for another company's marketing, and use no third-party advertising or tracking.
08Transfers outside the UAE
Some of our service providers store or process data outside the United Arab Emirates. Where that happens, we transfer only what is needed and rely on the safeguards UAE data protection law provides for such transfers.
09How long we keep it
Quote requests, visit bookings and messages: 3 years from when they arrive — long enough to pick a conversation back up.
Website analytics and error reports: 3 months.
The record of changes made in our admin panel: 7 years. It names our own staff, not visitors.
Mailing list: until you unsubscribe.
If you become a client, contracts, quotations, invoices and service records are kept for as long as the law requires us to keep business and tax records, and deleted after that.
10Keeping it safe
Access to personal data is limited to the people who need it, each with their own account and permissions, and every change in our admin panel is logged. Data travels over encrypted connections. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps and will tell you and the authorities about a breach as the law requires.
11Your rights
Under UAE data protection law you can ask what personal data we hold about you and how we use it, ask us to correct it, to erase it, to restrict or stop processing it, or to give it to you in a portable form, and you can withdraw consent you have given — subject to the exceptions the law sets out, such as records we must keep.
Write to contact@mapletech.ae. We may need to confirm who you are before acting, and we will reply within 30 days.
If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the UAE Data Office.
12Children
Our services and this website are meant for adults. We don't knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18.
13Cookies and browser storage
This site stores very little in your browser, and nothing for advertising. Our cookie policy lists exactly what, and lets you change your choice at any time.
14Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, the new version is published here with its date. Retention periods on this page are read from our live configuration, so they always match what the system actually does.
